Stratus and HoST have been partners since 2018 for the past three-plus years, starting as a gold level partner back in 2018 and today as one of the master distributors in Singapore. Stratus has been delivering compute infrastructure for the past 40 years worldwide and specializes in fault-tolerance servers ( ftServer®️ ) that mainly run mission-critical applications, so there’s no single point of failure on their servers.

Zero-touch compute is their newest solution, which offers a purpose-built ruggedized server that even comes with exposure proof certification. It was launched in 2018 when Stratus envisioned with the industry 4.0 and the IIoT convergence of workloads in this sort of environment factory with sufficient protection. As there are no moving parts within the ztC™️ Edge, it can take vibration that is present in the plant floor or production line.

It also built to take high temperatures right up to 60 degrees Celsius, something common in the production line as there will be no air conditioning. In addition to offering fault tolerance, the ztC™️ Edge can provide a high availability factor (HA) as well. Stratus has seen success by using a ztC™️ Edge to run a conveyor belt machine.

It works as a part of the system and controls the speed of the conveyor belt, and also tracks the product upstream and downstream that come on to and leaves the conveyor belt. As more and more data becomes available, using in 4.0 and IIOT is required to decide which data is critical and how it should be assessed, a ztC operator surely helps.
