- 2022 HoST & Partners Day – “Smart Manufacturing, In Touch Tomorrow” Wrap up
All good things come to an end. So has our exhibition, “𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐈𝐧𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰” on the occasion of 𝐇𝐨𝐒𝐓 & 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬❜ 𝐃𝐚𝐲. We had a great time sharing our knowledge with the audience, eager to learn more about how to improve productivity more efficiently and to a higher and more consistent level of quality in the manufacturing industry together with our partners – Fiix by Rockwell Automation, Rockwell Automation, Stratus Technologies, MiR Robots Asia Pacific, Festo Southeast Asia, Rittal Singapore & SEA and EPLAN
We are delighted to extend our gratitude and 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 to everyone who visited and supported our exhibition. Thank you, Singapore Industrial Automation Association for the support. It was great connecting with so many of you face to face! Also, mention the 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐒𝐓 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭❗
However, let’s not forget that “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬”. Therefore now is the time to welcome #DigitalTransformation into your Industries. Take the first step by discussing it with our team today while we guide you on tomorrow’s journey.
If you have missed the exhibition, worry, no.
Do allow us to bring you through the exhibition showcase. In this series of showcases, we are hoping to be able to mimic a production floor setup where we start with the device-level product solution.
ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
In the first booth, we are exhibiting Logix Echo software, where we can emulate the Programmable Logic Controller programming environment. The benefit of the Logix echo is quite similar to the function of a digital twin, where we can leverage it to work on an R&D prototype, Testing and evaluating the program. These will effectively allow you to reduce change over time and the time for extensive troubleshooting of the program.
FESTO
we are showcasing the device-level products that the machining equipment will leverage on the production floor. Festo smart devices such as the IO link provide critical information about the sensors/devices and provide the data available for analysis. This is where you probably can identify the failure root cause of the devices where the reasons are supported by the data acquired by the IO link module. Festo also carries devices such as Pneumatics, Stepper Motor, Actuator, and other devices that are commonly used in a machine setup.
RITTAL & EPLAN
With multiple devices on the manufacturing plant floor, you will require panels to house and protect your devices from the environment. Rittal provides different panels, from Low to high IP ratings, with extensive paint coating to better prevent rust. From mile steel to stainless steel, Server racks and Air Condition panels, it provides multi-angle protection covers for your valuable devices, hence increasing the life span of the electronic devices, which can easily succumb to high-temperature derating. While protection of the devices is important, Eplan also helps reduce engineering time in the design of the electrical circuit. With extensive libraries with other manufacturers, wiring diagrams can be designed without needing to develop them from the stretch.
STRATUS TECHNOLOGIES
With devices collecting critical data, we will soon realize that servers also play an important role in data availability. With Stratus, we can provide a high availability server that users will be able to leverage to provide key statistical reports or evaluations any time of the day. Stratus carries different server configurations where edge computing can be done via FT Server and redundant server with ZTC Edge.
MIR
Next, we will showcase the Robotics segment in this exhibition. What you see now are the MiR Autonomous Robots and Pudu service robots. In the current manufacturing landscape, labour crunch is a commonly discussed topic among manufacturers, and Robotics can be an answer to the ever-challenging environment. With Robotics, users can assign the robotics to take on repeating tasks which bring no value to the operators. This will allow the company to upskill the operators to take on valuable job scope and reduce their need to transport material from point A to point B. Robots can be used in many applications and customized with creative ideas. We have a lot of use cases where end users leverage robotics to provide end-to-end material transfer based on the calculation. Depending on the application, users can obtain their ROI in 2-3 years.
HoST Pte Ltd
Now that you have seen the flow of the showcase, we will be stringing up the different products and providing an overall solution to your needs in the next booth. These include PLC, Sensors, Pneumatics, Panels, design software tools, and Server Solution to Robotics. Based on this setup, we hope to identify a similar use case in your company where we can help add value to the solution you are seeking.
FIIX
Lastly, to summarise the storyline, we also need software tools for the deployment of the service engineers, tools to manage the MRO and provide documentation for the service request where it might still be recorded in paper and pen format. Fiixs is a CMMS platform that allows users to leverage the software platform to have service call out, spare part requests, replenishment and documentation integrated into the ERP. It can also be a standalone platform where all requests will be formalized. This will give the management team the right visibility on what equipment has been repaired and which equipment has high downtime and high spare parts consumption.
